Tour Info

Accommodations, transportation, all activities, tour guides, and daily breakfast are inclusive in each of our packages.

Your main purchases will be lunch/diner daily and souvenir shopping. Conservatively an individual will be fine with as little as $500, but $1,000/person is a better budget.

On the average we have 12 people per tour, however it can be as much as 21 people and as little as 10 people.

All reservations/bookings are handled through this website (earthseedtours.com). Go to the tour of your choosing and click on Book This Tour.

All payments are handled via this site (earthseedtours.com), at checkout, using the credit or debit card of your choosing.

We offer an interest-free payment plan that enables you to divide your payments over a period of up to 10 months. The earlier you make a reservation, the lower your monthly payments will be.

We provide a late model van or coaster bus, complete with air condition.

All except one night we will be staying in 4-star hotels. There will be one night where we stay in a village villa.

We partner with several hotels, thus we may book at one of several 4-star hotels.

There will be 2 twin beds in a double occupancy room.

A roommate of the same sex will be appointed to you.

Probably not. Ghana has a no toleration stance on the proliferation of such concepts in Ghana and our authorities have been known to make flagrant examples of the flamboyant.

Preparation

Dress for the tropics. The temperature is 85-90 degrees in the shade. But bring long sleeve options for the evenings.

You will purchase your airline tickets directly from the airline or a travel agent. We will advise you on the best flights to take.

A single entry visa is $60.
A multiple entry visa is $100.

You will apply to the nearest Ghanaian embassy for your visa. We will walk you through the process. But you can also check out their website: https://ghanaembassydc.org/visa/

A standard application will take 15-20 business days from receipt of a hard copy of the application form, passport picture and actual passport at the Mission.
The processing period for Rush applications is 7 business days.

All travelers are required to be vaccinated against yellow fever, however, if you don’t have your yellow fever vaccination you simply pay a $40 fine. Note: The vaccination costs $200 on average and I’ve never heard of anyone catching yellow fever.

Travel insurance is suggested, but not required. It provides coverage for Trip Cancellation, Interruption, Baggage Loss, and more.  Please see your insurance provider.

Yes, you need a passport to travel internationally and that passport should be valid for 3 months after the tour dates.

Policies

You are eligible for a full refund within 30 days of your purchase. Between 31 and 60 days, a 90% refund is available; from 61 to 90 days, an 80% refund; and after 91 days, a 60% refund. Please be aware,  refunds cannot be issued if requested within 60 days of the tour date.

To initiate a refund, send an email {info@earthseedtours.com} requesting a refund.  Your email will be acknowledged, a refund will be processed, and a credit applied to your credit card within fourteen (14) business days.

We have designated family tours to include children. Children must be accompanied by parent.

Anyone with a disability must be accompanied by an individual responsible for providing those services. Tour managers, guides, drivers, or other tour, and hotel personnel are not able to provide such assistance. You will find that most tour features and/or facilities in Ghana are not wheelchair accessible. We cannot provide individual assistance to travelers with wheelchairs or other mobility devices.

There may be times when we may be unable to perform as advertised for reasons out of our control. These are called force majeure events and if they occur, they will make performing inadvisable, commercially impracticable, illegal, or impossible. Events that may trigger this provision include but are not limited to: acts of God, acts of government, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolts, military action, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities or any kind or the threat thereof, pandemics, and/or epidemics. Earthquakes, hurricanes, lightening, and explosions, unexpected legislation, or any other event outside the reasonable control of your tour facilitator or the various service providers upon which were contracted.

In the event that a force majeure event occurs, we will look to follow the cancellation policies of the suppliers. Any changes to those policies are at the discretion of the supplier and your tour facilitator.  Travelers will be informed of their options if a force majeure event occurs.
