We handle the essentials so you can focus on enjoying your adventure! The price includes your vetted accommodations, all in-country travel, help with your visa, entry to all tour activities, expert guides, and daily breakfast. You are only responsible for your flights, additional meals, souvenirs, and travel insurance.

All your activities are covered, and your only purchases will be meals and shopping: $1,000 is fine, $2,000 and you’re ballin’ out!

We carefully balance our group sizes for the best experience. The average tour has 12 people, but we accommodate groups from 2 to 25. We cap the size to guarantee that no one gets lost or unheard. Please note that smaller, private-sized groups have a different rate structure.

It’s easy! Just share your ideas and details through our sign-up form. We’ll personally craft a tour option just for you and then send a direct link to a private booking page for a seamless checkout experience.

We accept all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover) for your convenience. All payments are processed securely through our website using encrypted payment gateways to ensure your information is protected.

Yes, we want to make booking easy. You can use our interest-free payment plan to break up your total cost into smaller monthly payments over 10 months. Reserving earlier gives you a longer payment period, significantly reducing your monthly commitment.

For your comfort and safety, we use modern, late-model vehicles. Depending on the size of your group, you will travel in either a 4X4, a spacious passenger van or a comfortable coaster bus. All of our vehicles are professionally maintained and fully air-conditioned to ensure a pleasant journey.

We prioritize quality and experience. Most nights are in highly-rated 4-star hotels. We’ve also carefully included one night in a traditional village villa. This is not a downgrade but a special opportunity for a more authentic and memorable local experience.

Our standard double occupancy rooms are typically equipped with two separate twin beds. Please let us know if you require a room with a double or queen-sized bed, as we can often accommodate such requests with advance notice (subject to availability).

We must be candid: Ghana presents significant challenges and potential safety risks for LGBTQ+ individuals. Homosexual acts are criminalized by law, and social attitudes are largely conservative and intolerant. Public displays of affection or openness about one’s gay identity could lead to serious legal repercussions, harassment, or violence. While we strive to ensure the safety of all our guests, we cannot guarantee a risk-free environment for LGBTQ+ travelers and must advise extreme discretion.

Preparation

Prepare for hot days (85-90°F) with lightweight, casual clothing. Evenings can be cooler, and mosquitoes are prevalent, so packing light layers like long-sleeved shirts and pants is crucial for comfort. Comfortable walking shoes are essential.

Tour participants are responsible for booking their own air travel. This allows you to use frequent flyer miles, choose your preferred airline, and select seats that work best for you.

Recommended Flight: For your convenience, our tour is scheduled to align with Delta Flight 156, a non-stop service from New York (JFK) to Accra (ACC).

For most of our tours, the Ghana visa is now included. We will handle the entire application process for you. If your specific package does not include it, we will provide full instructions and support for applying through the Ghanaian embassy.

All travelers are required to be vaccinated against yellow fever, however, if you don’t have your yellow fever vaccination you simply pay a $40 fine. Note: The vaccination costs $200 on average and I’ve never heard of anyone catching yellow fever.

While travel insurance isn’t required, we highly recommend it. It offers valuable protection for unexpected events such as trip cancellations, interruptions, and baggage loss. Please consult with your insurance provider to find the best coverage for your needs.

Yes, you need a passport to travel internationally and that passport should be valid for 3 months after the tour dates.

Anyone with a disability must be accompanied by an individual responsible for providing those services. Tour managers, guides, drivers, or other tour, and hotel personnel are not able to provide such assistance. You will find that most tour features and/or facilities in Ghana are not wheelchair accessible. We cannot provide individual assistance to travelers with wheelchairs or other mobility devices.

There may be times when we may be unable to perform as advertised for reasons out of our control. These are called force majeure events and if they occur, they will make performing inadvisable, commercially impracticable, illegal, or impossible. Events that may trigger this provision include but are not limited to: acts of God, acts of government, acts of war or civil unrest, insurrection or revolts, military action, strikes or other labor activities, criminal or terrorist activities or any kind or the threat thereof, pandemics, and/or epidemics. Earthquakes, hurricanes, lightening, and explosions, unexpected legislation, or any other event outside the reasonable control of your tour facilitator or the various service providers upon which were contracted.

In the event that a force majeure event occurs, we will look to follow the cancellation policies of the suppliers. Any changes to those policies are at the discretion of the supplier and your tour facilitator.  Travelers will be informed of their options if a force majeure event occurs.
